As a Sr. Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and supporting business development in Tennessee. Projects span the service areas of technology consulting, geospatial technology, data management and analytics, artificial intelligence, COTS and custom software implementation, systems integrations, infrastructure asset management and land management solutions in the transportation, water, facilities, utilities, energy, telecommunications, construction, and state/local government markets. Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Manage larger or more complex projects or a portfolio of projects
  • Successfully manage scope, schedule and budget while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain project management plans and other required project management artifacts
  • Lead project teams from project initiation through closeout
  • Follow guidelines, best practices, conventions, techniques, and industry standards for project management
  • Directly engage with and influence customers
  • Lead development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
  • Mentor project managers and associate project managers
  • Supervise staff, as assigned
  • Provide performance feedback to project staff and supervisors of staff
  • Operate independently

Specialized experience:

  • Experience managing projects that include geospatial technology (GIS), solution engineering, data management, and technology advisory services
  • State and local government experience 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, geography, design, marketing, business, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Master’s Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, geography, design, marketing, business, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in a project management role
  • Minimum eight years of professional experience in the areas of business advisory, data & analytics, solutions and/or software engineering, and/or IT infrastructure engineering
  • Experience providing consulting services is strongly preferred
  • Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems
  • Ability to develop and maintain deep knowledge of customers, data, business, and markets
  • Project Management Professional is preferred
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner is preferred
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
