Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI is looking for recent structural engineering graduates to join our Rotational Engineering Program. This program offers recent engineering graduates a unique chance to gain exposure to various functional roles and assignments, helping them develop a broad understanding of the company and grow into well-rounded leaders.  This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various structural disciplines, including bridges, buildings and contractor services, both in design and field settings. The program lasts one year and includes three or four rotations across different structural specialities and offices, if applicable.

 

In this role, candidates will:

  • Gain knowledge of KCI services and the engineering consulting industry, with a strong focus on structural engineering.
  • Acquire hands-on experience in both field and office environments.
  • Learn to design and prepare construction drawings for various types of structural engineering projects
  • Build relationships across the company.
  • Align their skills and interests with various engineering discipline
  • Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with standards.
  • Engage in rotational assignments to gain exposure to different aspects of structural engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • General knowledge of Microstation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 1 year
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to various structural engineering challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.  Appropriate professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 0-2 year's experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon
