Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Tower (Tophand) 

  • Minimum 2 yrs. of climbing experience.
  • Must be able to complete and pass the COMTRAIN certification
  • Must have the ability to climb & work proficiently at required height.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Must be able to pass a urinalysis
  • Must be able to read and understand construction drawings
  • Must adhere to OSHA, NATE, Customer and Wireless Quality & Safety Standards
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be a Leader/Mentor
  • Must be able to complete a JSA (job safety analysis) daily & perform safety inspection before and during the workday
  • Must be responsible & self-motivated, able to work with little to no direction
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the following:
  1. Ability to use PIM / Sweep Test Gear
  2. Ability to use Connector Tools, able to install connectors on all size coax
  3. Ability to install coax / fiber trunks on the tower
  4. Ability to install antennas: set RETs, Down tilts, Azimuths
  5. Ability to collect, assemble, and submit closeout documentation
  • Must be able to identify material needed/required for the completion of the project
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of work quality

 

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, and work in all weather conditions and climates, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, travel for overnight and extended stay projects is possible. Pre-employment drug testing is required as a condition of employment. EOE/M/F/Veteran/Disabled.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
