Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI Technologies is seeking a dynamic Business Developer to support our growth in the southeast region. This role involves working cross-functionally to enhance KCI’s presence and branding, ultimately helping us gain market share. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing marketing content, developing communication strategies, and conducting market research. Additionally, they will plan and produce marketing materials, enhance brand awareness through social media, and support high-value proposal efforts. Networking with potential customers and industry professionals is also a key aspect of this role.

 

  • Designing and creating online marketing content, including quarterly newsletters, brochures, and promotional emails.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team and service lines to generate new ideas, create promotional materials, and develop effective marketing strategies.
  • Creating communication and marketing strategies for new projects, launches, events, and promotions.
  • Collaborating with service line representatives to fully understand services and communication needs.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote the company and its products and/or services.
  • Conducting market research and analyzing consumer data to identify marketing opportunities, negotiate media coverage, and develop effective strategies to increase brand awareness.
  • Assisting in communicating strategies or messages from senior leadership.
  • Developing content for regional leadership campaigns.
  • Monitoring and reporting on communication campaigns and programs.
  • Planning and managing the design, content, and production of marketing materials for client meetings.
  • Providing support materials for conferences, sponsorships, and events.
  • Creating and maintaining client databases and mailing lists.
  • Enhancing brand awareness in the digital space by tracking projects and social media exposure.
  • Developing and implementing effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty and brand awareness through social media.
  • Supporting marketing staff on high-value/must-win projects.
  • Coordinating with capture planning to establish win themes.
  • Tracking ROI for marketing campaigns.
  • Networking with potential customers and industry professionals to grow brand awareness and promote KCI’s services.
  • Attending trade shows and community fairs, staffing the company booth.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the A/E/C industry
  • Limited travel to attend industry events, meet with internal and external project/pursuit teams, engage with clients and similar activities.
  • Show a high degree of initiative and organization, be inquisitive, accountable, and a self-starter that can accurately and efficiently complete assigned and self-evident tasks on time with minimal oversight.
  • The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written), influentially lead through all levels of the organization, exhibit critical thought, and a strong knowledge of the A/E/C industry and clients.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, influential leadership, technical writing, internal stakeholder management, research/data gathering, and time management skills.
  • The ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships in the region across service lines in support of the business development process.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Adobe suites and ability to quickly learn and utilize database, spreadsheet, editing, graphic, CRM, and production software.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Geographic location within KCI’s Professional Services Region
