We are looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and client-focused Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of gas distribution system projects. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project execution—from concept through construction—while ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination. It combines technical oversight, project management, and business development responsibilities. This position requires strong design experience, the ability to manage cross-functional teams, and a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and motivated to support strategic growth in the utility sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage gas distribution system projects, including new mains, services, and system upgrades.
Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with CFR 192, ASME B31.8, DOT/PHMSA regulations, and local/state codes.
Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical submittals.
Collaborate with internal design teams, CAD technicians, and subcontractors.
Coordinate permitting, utility relocations, and public agency reviews.
Manage project budgets, scopes, schedules, and risk assessments.
Serve as the primary client contact—developing trusted relationships and providing regular updates.
Support proposal development, cost estimating, and business development efforts.
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and presentations.
Ensure quality assurance, safety standards, and project documentation are maintained.
Knowledge of CFR 192, ASME B31.8, and gas utility regulatory standards.
Understanding of local and state code requirements.
Experience working in the energy/utilities industry.
Ability to work within or adapt to client systems such as AS8, GIS, and Maximo.
Strong organizational, communication, and client management skills.
Direct experience with Natural Gas Distribution System design and delivery.
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
Experience with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., Synergi Gas) a plus.
Working knowledge of business development practices and client capture strategies.
