Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Complete other duties as required/assigned
  • Provide timely and helpful customer service in a positive and professional manner
  • Advise CAD employees (staff / users) on appropriate action
  • Assist with organizing CAD environment
  • Assist with Develop, implement, and enforce CAD workspaces and standards
  • Diagnose and resolve CAD technical hardware and software issues
  • Educate and empower employees with CAD and IT training
  • Log all Help Desk interactions in a timely manner
  • Provide production CAD support
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Respond to requests for CAD technical assistance in person, via phone or electronically
  • Provide technical support for all AutoDesk software
  • Support Corporate CAD Manager's vision and responsibilities
  • Assist with project standards coordination as required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline • Professional Engineering registration preferred
  • We seek a technically capable CADD Support Manager/Administrator to provide 3D modelling support and training for civil engineers. This newly created position will be serve all KCI office locations in the Transportation Market.
  • 15+ years CADD support experience • Experience with Bentley Open Roads and Microstation software • Transportation Design Experience with and knowledge of related civil engineering disciplines. and plan production needs so that appropriate training on civil-specific design programs can be developed and deployed to all staff • Experience training end users on 3D modeling design software • Experience creating visualization graphics for large transportation projects • Transportation design experience is a plus.
  • A strong background of working with the needs of various civil engineering disciplines and generating targeted training and procedures to optimize design and plan production efficiency • Broad experience in preparation of drawings and 3D models for multiple civil disciplines • Detailed working knowledge and troubleshooting of Bentley Open Roads, Microstation, and Geopak. • Experience with large & complex project delivery using Open Roads • Ability to provide instruction to end users in a prompt and courteous manner. • Working knowledge of document management systems such as Bentley ProjectWise. • Strong people management and organizational skills. • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members • Must be detail oriented
