Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Landscape Architect in Training will assist in the design and development of landscape and irrigation projects. The Landscape Architect in Training will work under the guidance of senior staff, contributing to various aspects of project execution.


Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of landscape and irrigation plans, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Create basic design graphics, sketches, and renderings to support project presentations.
• Conduct site research and analysis to gather information on project constraints and opportunities.
• Participate in field visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs.
• Support field inspections and construction observations, documenting findings for review by senior staff.
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, summaries, and other documentation required for project development.
• Learn and apply company design standards and industry best practices in all tasks.
• Receive mentorship from senior staff, actively seeking feedback and guidance to improve skills.
• Assist in the preparation of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all work.
• Support the preparation of materials for client meetings and community presentations.
• Participate in project meetings, gaining exposure to client interactions and project discussions.
• Complete other duties as required or assigned.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to build knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
• 0-2 years of experience in related field.


Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
• Additional industry certifications
