Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:

The Drafter is responsible for producing precise and detailed drawings and designs in alignment with project specifications. This role demands knowledge of design software, adherence to company policies, and compliance with standards. The Drafter will collaborate with project teams, ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget, and contribute to continuous improvement and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge in AutoCAD is required.
  • Relevant work experience in wireless/telecommunications not required, but preferred.
  • Ability to complete fieldwork to identify existing utilities and take field measurements is required.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting utility plans and the ability to research utility information including contacting counties, jurisdictions and utility companies is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently under the direction of supervisors located in other outer offices.
  • Aerial attachment expierience is a plus.
  • Must hold valid driver's license.
  • Plan and Profile expierience is a plus.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge in required design software
  • Entry level position

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:

  • Understanding of drafting fundamentals is preferred.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License
