Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Our Survey Practice is growing and we are looking to bring on a Project Manager to lead projects in Georgia!


Project Management and Leadership:

  • Project Management and Leadership
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee land survey projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project schedules, resource plans, and workflow procedures to support field and office teams.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and closeout evaluations.
  • Supervise and mentor field crews, survey technicians, and junior project managers.
  • Maintain a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate training on new survey technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensure all work meets quality control requirements and company standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct job-site risk assessments.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and professional licensing requirements.
  • Develop, mobile SLAM type of scanning workflows
  • Develop, train, and oversee mobile SLAM type of scanning staff
  • Assist BIM department lead with developing pipeline of data coming in for BIM modeling projects.
  • Develop and oversee UAV processing and workflows

Project Execution and Technical Oversight

 

  • Provide technical guidance on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, as-built, and right-of-way surveys.
  • Review survey calculations, CAD deliverables, plats, legal descriptions, and GIS data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal survey regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Assist with office processing of scanning projects and deliverables.
  • Assist with field collection and training of scanning operators.
  • Provide technical guidance on SLAM type of scanning projects.
  • Process and oversee processing ofSLAM types of scanning projects
  • Process and oversee field and office processing of UAV projects.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal scanning regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal UAV regulations, standards, and best practices.
     

Business Development and Marketing

 

  • Serve as primary client contact; manage expectations, provide updates, and address project-related issues.
  • Work with BIM lead on attracting BIM modeling clients within the architectural and MEP fields.
  • Lead or assist with scanning and BIM department client presentations.
  • Develop and attract clients who need UAV services.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, utility companies, municipalities, and property owners.
  • Assist with proposal development, scoping, pricing, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 4 years of related professional experience, or 8 years of equivalent
professional experience.
• Participation in continuing education and professional development programs.
• Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Deep technical knowledge in the specific field of the project.
• Expertise in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and
documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
• Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation skills to manage multiple contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
• Strong comprehension of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.


Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry)


Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
• Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
