We are currently seeking an experienced BIM Manager to support our Building Structures practice. This role will lead and coordinate drawing standards, workflows, and technical production for structural engineering projects, while serving as a technical resource for project teams across offices. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of structural design documentation, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Project, Technical, and Financial Management

• Maintain a high level of engineering and design competency within the Building Structures service line, serving as a recognized technical lead by clients and peers.
• Act as an internal subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support to staff and leadership.
• Manage and prioritize the workflow of assigned drafting and technical staff, delegating tasks as needed to ensure efficient, high-quality, and timely project delivery.
• Coordinate across offices, practices, and sub-consultants to support project objectives and consistent technical execution.
• Attend and actively participate in project meetings, providing technical input and coordination as required.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with ISO quality standards, internal QA/QC procedures, and applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
• Achieve or exceed individual utilization targets while managing work within established project budgets and financial parameters.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and clients, fostering collaboration and strong working relationships.

Technical Proficiency, Leadership, and Mentorship

• Apply expertise in structural design principles, drawing standards, and engineering fundamentals to produce accurate and compliant construction drawings.
• Gather, review, and analyze field data, measurements, sketches, and technical documentation to inform design and detailing decisions.
• Read, interpret, and apply technical documents, design manuals, building codes, and jurisdictional requirements to collaborate with design team to ensure compliance and constructability.
• Document size and specify structural elements in accordance with project requirements and client expectations.
• Mentor and train junior staff, supporting their technical development and career growth.
• Lead by example, demonstrating accountability, technical excellence, and a commitment to the firm’s shared values.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent
professional experience.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience in mentoring technical staff.
• Prior experience serving as a subject matter expert and providing technical guidance.
• Familiarity with ISO compliance requirements and quality management systems.
• Strong technical proficiency in the field in which they are a Technical Lead.
• Proficiency in relevant software/tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing solutions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, team members and other stakeholders.
• Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements.

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
• Master’s Degree or any other advanced degree

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
• Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Training within six months of start date.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
• Professional license or certification within the field of expertise preferred.
